Non-Stick Gingerbread Bake Pan – Man, Bear or Star Shape

Baking That Looks the Part
Cutting shapes out of rolled dough with a cutter works fine for biscuits but it does not give you depth, detail or a cake with a proper shaped profile. These bake pans do. Pour your sponge batter, brownie mix, shortbread dough or gingerbread mix into the shaped pan, bake it, turn it out and you have a finished bake that already looks like something — no decoration needed to give it its shape, no assembly, no cutting after baking. The shape comes from the pan itself.
Three designs are available. The gingerbread man has a face with embossed features and button detail pressed into the pan surface that transfers to the finished bake. The bear has rounded ears, a detailed face and body shape that comes out clearly defined after baking. The star has five clean points and a shallow bowl that gives an even bake across the full shape. All three are the same dark non-stick coated carbon steel construction and all three hang on a hook through the hole at the top for storage.

The Three Pan Designs
Gingerbread Man Pan

Full gingerbread man outline with arms and legs outstretched — the classic Christmas baking shape
Embossed face with eyes, nose and a smile pressed into the base of the pan — these details transfer to the surface of the finished bake as raised features
Button detail running down the centre of the body — three raised circles that appear on the baked surface without any extra decorating needed
Suits gingerbread dough, vanilla sponge, chocolate cake mix or brownie batter — any mix that holds its shape and takes on detail from the pan surface

Gingerbread Bear Pan

Rounded bear shape with ear details at the top and a detailed face including eyes, nose and mouth pressed into the pan
Wider body than the gingerbread man, giving more depth to the finished bake and a larger surface for icing or decoration after baking
The bear outline is clean enough that the finished bake is immediately recognisable as a bear shape without any additional shaping
Works particularly well for occasion baking — christenings, baby showers, children's birthdays — where a shaped bake makes more of an impact than a standard round or square tin

Gingerbread Star Pan

Five-point star shape with clean defined points and a shallow flat base that bakes evenly across the full surface
No embossed detail on the base — the star shape itself is the feature, giving a clean flat surface that takes icing, dust or glazing cleanly after baking
Works as a cake tin, a deep biscuit mould or a brownie pan depending on the depth of mix you pour in
Christmas star is the most obvious use but the shape works equally well for occasion baking throughout the year

Design and Build

Carbon steel body on all three pans — holds heat evenly across the full shape including the points and narrow sections, which prevents the outer edges overcooking before the centre is done
Dark non-stick coating on the interior baking surface of each pan — baked items release cleanly without sticking at the detailed sections where a pan without non-stick coating would grab and tear the surface of the bake
Hanging hole at the top of each pan — store on a hook inside a kitchen cupboard door or on a utensil rail without the pan sitting loose in a drawer where the non-stick surface can be scratched
Lightweight enough to handle easily for filling and transferring to the oven
The embossed detail on the man and bear pans is pressed into the metal itself — it does not wear away or change shape over repeated use the way a surface coating would

In Use

Lightly grease the pan with butter or a light spray of cooking oil before filling, even with a non-stick surface — non-stick coatings work best with a thin layer of grease on detailed shapes where the baked surface has to release from embossed features
Fill to the recommended depth for the recipe — most shaped pans work best when filled to about two thirds depth, leaving room for the bake to rise without spilling over the edge of the shape
Bake at the temperature your recipe calls for — shaped pans with pointed sections may need a slightly lower temperature than the recipe states to prevent the points catching before the centre bakes through
Leave the baked item to cool in the pan for five to ten minutes before turning out — trying to release a hot bake immediately risks tearing the surface at the detailed sections
Run a thin palette knife gently around the inside edge if any section feels stuck before inverting — do not force it or the surface detail will tear

Where These Get Used

Christmas baking — all three shapes suit the Christmas season, with the gingerbread man and star being the most obviously festive choices
Children's birthday cakes — a bear-shaped or star-shaped cake is a straightforward way to make a birthday bake look interesting without complicated decorating
School and community baking events — shaped bakes on a table or at a stall attract attention in a way that standard round cakes do not
Gifting — a shaped gingerbread bake in a gift box is a straightforward homemade gift for Christmas, birthdays or any occasion
Easter and seasonal baking — the star shape works for any season, and the man and bear shapes are not exclusively Christmas

Practical Notes

Hand wash only — dishwasher cycles will degrade the non-stick coating faster than hand washing and can cause the carbon steel body to rust if not dried immediately after the wash cycle
Use only silicone, wooden or nylon utensils when releasing the bake — metal tools will scratch the non-stick surface and over time reduce its effectiveness
Dry the pan completely before storing — any moisture left in the detailed sections of the man and bear pans will eventually cause surface rust if the pan is stored damp
Do not use on a hob — these are oven baking pans only

Available Designs

Gingerbread Man Bake Pan — embossed face and button detail, arms and legs outstretched
Gingerbread Bear Bake Pan — rounded bear shape with detailed face and ear sections
Gingerbread Star Bake Pan — five-point star with flat baking base and clean defined points

All three in dark non-stick coated carbon steel with hanging hole for storage.
