Everything You Need to Grill — One Pack, No Additional Purchases
A standard BBQ trip requires a grill, charcoal bought separately, fire-lighters, and tools to set it all up. This jumbo disposable instant BBQ removes all of that. The pack contains 1kg of charcoal, a mesh grill, an aluminium fuel tray, a foil sheet tray, and lighting paper — nothing else is needed. Light the paper, wait for the charcoal to reach cooking temperature, and grill for up to 1.5 hours. When cooking is done and the unit has fully cooled, the entire thing disposes of — no cleaning, no carrying equipment home, no storing a dirty grill until next time.
For outdoor use only. Burning charcoal produces carbon monoxide. Never use indoors, in a tent, or in any enclosed space.
What's in the Pack
1kg charcoal — the jumbo weight is the main difference between this and standard disposable BBQs, which typically contain 300–500g. More charcoal means longer burn time, more stable heat through the session, and the ability to cook in two rounds without the unit burning out early.
Lighting paper — already included in the pack. Light the paper and it starts the charcoal. No fire-lighters, lighter fluid, or anything else needed. This is the "instant" part — one pack, one light, cooking underway.
Aluminium fuel tray — the base tray holds the charcoal and allows airflow underneath. Airflow is what keeps charcoal burning at cooking temperature rather than smouldering out. The aluminium construction keeps everything contained during the burn.
Mesh grill — the cooking surface. It sits across the top of the tray above the charcoal. Food goes on the mesh and heat comes up from below. Fat and juices drip through the mesh away from the food during cooking.
Foil sheet tray — an additional base layer beneath the fuel tray that helps protect the surface below the BBQ from direct heat.
1kg Charcoal — Why the Weight Matters
Most disposable BBQs sold at supermarkets and outdoor shops contain between 300g and 500g of charcoal. They work, but the burn time is short — typically 45 to 60 minutes — and the heat drops off noticeably after the first half hour as the lighter charcoal load burns through.
At 1kg, this unit has significantly more charcoal. That translates to up to 1.5 hours of cooking time and more consistent heat through the middle of the session rather than a rush to get food on before the coals fade. For a group of four to six people, that's the difference between everyone eating properly cooked food and some people getting undercooked second rounds.
The larger charcoal mass also holds a more stable temperature when cold food like burgers and sausages goes on the grill — lighter units can drop temperature noticeably when food is placed, the jumbo load recovers faster.
How to Light It — Six Steps, No Tools Needed
Step one — remove the BBQ from its outer packaging. Check the tray is undamaged.
Step two — shake the tray gently to distribute the charcoal evenly across the base.
Step three — place the BBQ on a flat, stable, non-flammable outdoor surface. A stone patio, concrete, or a dedicated BBQ stand if the surface is grass or decking. Do not place directly on grass without a stand — the heat will burn the ground.
Step four — light the lighting paper included in the pack using a lighter or match. The paper ignites the charcoal without any additional fire-lighters or fluid.
Step five — wait. This is the part most people rush. The charcoal needs 10–15 minutes to reach proper cooking temperature. You know it's ready when the surface of the charcoal develops a white or grey ash coating. Grey charcoal with white ash is hot charcoal. Charcoal that's still black and smoking is not ready and will produce excessive smoke and uneven heat.
Step six — place the mesh grill across the tray, put food on the grill, and cook. Check that all food is cooked thoroughly before eating, particularly sausages, burgers, and chicken.
Safety — Please Read
This BBQ is outdoor use only. Burning charcoal produces carbon monoxide — a colourless, odourless gas that is dangerous in any enclosed space. That includes inside a tent, a caravan, a car, a garage, a shed, or any building. This isn't a precaution — CO from burning charcoal at close quarters in an enclosed space can be fatal.
Keep children and pets away from the cooking area at all times. Do not use petrol, paraffin, lighter fluid, or any accelerant to light the BBQ — these are fire hazards and produce toxic fumes.
After cooking, the charcoal continues to produce CO and stays hot for several hours. Do not put the unit in a bag, a car boot, or a bin while it is still hot. Extinguish fully with water or sand before disposal.
Where People Use This
- Camping — one flat pack in the rucksack, no separate bag of charcoal, no grill to carry. Jumbo size handles a proper camp meal without burning out before everyone has eaten
- Beach days — check local bylaws first; many beaches permit BBQs in designated areas. The disposable format means nothing to clean or carry back
- Garden parties — use multiple units side by side for a larger gathering; fewer units needed with the 1kg size compared to standard disposable BBQs
- Festivals — where permitted by the festival. Check policies before buying. The flat format is far easier to carry to a festival site than any portable grill kit
- Parks and open spaces — many parks have designated BBQ areas; some require a raised stand. Check local rules and use a stand if required
Single-use disposable format. 1kg charcoal included. Burns for up to 1.5 hours. Lighting paper, aluminium fuel tray, mesh grill, and foil sheet tray all included. No fire-lighters needed. For outdoor use only — never use in any enclosed space. Allow to cool fully before disposal.
