One Spray Gun. Multiple Patterns. Every Garden and Outdoor Task Covered.
Instead of changing nozzles or using multiple tools for different watering tasks, this multi-pattern hose spray gun covers everything from a concentrated jet for reaching the back of a long border to a gentle mist for seedlings — all from a single rotating head. Turn the head to select the pattern, pull the trigger, and water flows. The trigger lock clips the trigger open so water runs continuously without squeezing the handle for the entire session. The anti-slip rubber grip keeps the gun in your hand when things get wet. The standard quick-connect fitting at the base attaches to any compatible garden hose connector in seconds.
The Rotating Head — What Each Pattern Does
The spray head has labelled positions around its circumference. Rotate it by hand to the setting you need and the water exits in that pattern. No tools, no separate attachments.
Jet — a concentrated stream of water that travels a reasonable distance. Use it for reaching plants at the back of a deep border, flushing debris from a drain, or directing water precisely at the base of a specific plant without wetting surrounding ones.
Fan / Flat — a wide flat spray that covers a broad area in a single pass. Right for watering long borders and beds quickly. The fan pattern distributes water more evenly than a jet across a wider soil area, which means more efficient watering with less puddling in any single spot.
Cone — a circular spreading spray that covers a mid-range area. Good for watering shrubs, large containers, and established plants where a fan would waste water beyond the planting and a jet would be too concentrated for the root zone.
Shower / Mist — a fine, gentle spray that distributes small water droplets across the target. The right pattern for seedlings, fresh cuttings, and young plants where a strong flow would displace soil, flatten stems, or damage fragile growth. Also useful for misting greenhouse plants and hardening off seedlings.
Centre — a medium direct flow between the jet and cone patterns. Useful for watering containers, directing water to specific plants in a mixed border, and any situation where the fan is too wide and the jet is too forceful.
Soaker — a higher volume, lower pressure output for deep watering at the root zone of established shrubs and trees where you want water to penetrate down rather than run off across the surface.
Trigger Lock — Why It Saves Your Hand
Sustained trigger pressure during a 20-minute garden watering session creates hand fatigue in the same way that holding any gripping position does for an extended time. The trigger lock is a small button or mechanism on the side of the handle that clips the trigger in the open position when pressed — water flows continuously without maintaining hand squeeze.
To use: pull the trigger and engage the lock. Water flows. To stop: pull the trigger slightly further to release the lock, or simply turn off the water at the tap. Walk along a border, water a row of pots, or rinse a car without having to maintain the grip position throughout.
The Handle and Anti-Slip Grip
The handle has an ergonomic shape — wider where the palm sits and narrower at the finger positions — which distributes the grip effort across the whole hand rather than concentrating it at the fingertips. The green rubber oval inlays on the sides of the handle sit directly under the palm during use. The rubber texture provides friction between the hand and the handle when both are wet, which is the condition the gun is in throughout most watering sessions.
The Quick-Connect Hose Fitting
The fitting at the base of the gun is a standard click-connect style compatible with most UK garden hose systems. Push it onto a female quick-connect fitting on your hose — it clicks into a locked position. To remove, press the release collar and pull. The same fitting system is used across hose reels, connectors, tap adaptors, and gun fittings from most garden supply ranges in the UK, so if your existing hose uses this system, the gun attaches in under five seconds.
If your hose uses a threaded connection rather than a quick-connect system, a standard adaptor (sold separately) converts it to the click-connect format.
What People Use This For
- Vegetable garden watering — fan and shower patterns for raised beds and vegetable plots; mist for seedlings and newly transplanted plugs
- Lawn edges and borders — fan pattern sweeps water across the full width without moving the gun constantly
- Car washing — jet for the initial rinse and debris removal; fan for a final rinse; trigger lock frees the other hand to hold a sponge or chamois
- Greenhouse plants — mist for humidity and seedling care; cone for watering established pot plants without flooding
- Patio and path cleaning — jet pattern shifts grit, leaf litter, and loose debris without getting down to sweep
- Window wetting — fan pattern pre-wets windows and outdoor glass before cleaning, loosening dirt for easier removal
Multi-pattern rotating spray head. Pattern options include jet, fan, cone, mist, shower, and centre. Trigger lock for continuous flow. Ergonomic handle with anti-slip rubber grip inlays. Standard quick-connect hose fitting. For garden watering, car washing, greenhouse use, and outdoor cleaning.
