2M Telescopic Water Fed Cleaning Brush – Extendable Pole with Soft Mop Head
Reach Further, Stay on the Ground
Most cleaning jobs that involve height — the roof of a van, the upper panes of a conservatory, the side of a motorhome, second-floor windows from outside — either do not get done or get done badly because the right tool is not to hand. A bucket and cloth does not reach. A ladder gets the job done but takes time to set up and creates its own risks on uneven ground or wet surfaces.
This telescopic brush extends to two metres, has a soft mop head wide enough to cover a good surface area per stroke, and connects to a standard garden hose through the base of the handle so water flows through the pole and out at the head while you clean. You stand on the ground, extend the pole to the height you need, lock it at that length, and work the surface with running water feeding directly to the brush. No bucket to carry up a ladder, no stopping to re-wet the head, no reaching overhead with a short-handled brush that does not come close to finishing the job.
Design and Build
- Telescopic aluminium pole extends from a compact stored length to a full two metres — the locking collars at each extension point twist to secure the pole firmly at any length between minimum and maximum, so you can set it shorter for low-level work and extend fully for high surfaces
- Orange twist-lock collar at the upper extension point and teal locking grip section lower down — both lock points hold the extended length securely during use without the pole slipping back under the pressure of scrubbing
- Water feed inlet at the base of the handle connects to a standard garden hose — water travels up through the hollow pole and feeds out at the brush head, keeping the cleaning surface wet throughout without any separate water container
- Soft teal mop head is wide enough to cover vehicle panels, window panes and flat surfaces in broad strokes — the soft fibres clean without scratching paintwork, glass or plastic surfaces
- The brush head connects to the pole at a fixed angle that sits flat against vertical surfaces — windows, vehicle sides, conservatory panels — without needing to adjust the pole angle sharply to make contact
- Lightweight overall build — two metres of pole is a significant length to hold overhead, and the aluminium construction keeps the weight manageable for sustained use
In Use
- Connect the base inlet to a garden hose before extending the pole — check the connection is secure before turning the water on
- Extend the pole to the length you need and lock both collar points firmly before applying any pressure to the brush head
- Turn the water on at a steady flow — enough to keep the head wet throughout the stroke without excessive run-off that wastes water and reduces visibility of the surface you are cleaning
- Work in overlapping horizontal strokes across the surface, starting at the top and working downward so dirty water runs away from the area you have already cleaned
- For vehicle roofs, extend to full height and work from one side — the two-metre reach covers the full width of most standard cars and vans without needing to move position repeatedly
- Rinse the surface with a final pass of clean water from the hose once the cleaning is done, again working top to bottom
What This Gets Used For
- Cars and estate cars — roof panels, windscreen exterior, rear window and upper bodywork that is awkward to reach properly from ground level with a short-handled brush
- Vans and MPVs — the roof height on most panel vans and large MPVs makes a two-metre pole the right length for cleaning the roof without a step or ladder
- Motorhomes and caravans — the largest surface area application, where a wide soft brush head and full pole extension make the most difference to cleaning time and result
- Conservatories — roof panels and upper glazing from outside, where a ladder on soft ground is a problem and the pole reach covers the angle needed to clean pitched glazing sections
- Boats and narrowboats — deck cleaning and hull sides where a long-handled water-fed brush does the job standing on the bank or jetty
- Decking and patio surfaces — the pole shortens for lower-level use and the soft head works across timber decking and paving without scratching
Practical Notes
- Always lock both extension collars before applying scrubbing pressure — an unlocked collar can release under load and the pole will collapse to a shorter length mid-stroke
- Do not force the pole beyond its maximum extension — the locking points are designed for specific extension lengths and over-extending puts strain on the collar mechanism
- Rinse the brush head thoroughly after each use and allow to dry before storing — a wet mop head stored folded or compressed will develop an odour over time
- The water feed connection is designed for standard garden hose fittings — check compatibility with your hose connector before purchase if you use a non-standard fitting
- Store the pole collapsed and the brush head upward or hanging — resting the mop head flat under the weight of the pole will compress the fibres over time
