A 4-slice toaster with a single browning dial means everyone gets the same level of brown whether they want it or not. This one has two separate dials — one for the left pair of slots, one for the right. Both dials run independently with six browning positions each, so two different people can have their toast set exactly how they prefer it, both finishing at the same time from the same cycle. 1400 watts across all four slots, a removable crumb tray for keeping the base clean, and two individual lift levers — one per pair. How the Dual Controls Work

The two dials sit at the front of the base — one below the left pair of slots, one below the right. Each controls only the slots above it and has no effect on the other pair.

Turn the left dial to level two for lightly toasted white bread. Turn the right dial to level five for well-done wholegrain. Press both levers down and both pairs toast simultaneously, each to the level set on its own dial. They finish at slightly different times depending on the setting difference, but both sets are ready within the same morning routine rather than waiting for a second round.

If everyone wants the same browning level, simply set both dials to the same position. The dual controls don't add complexity when everyone's preference is the same — they're just there when it isn't.

Six Browning Levels — What Each Position Covers

Level 1 gives a light, barely golden result — warm bread with a slight surface crisp and no real browning. Best for soft white bread or anyone who dislikes a strong crust.

Levels 2–3 cover light to medium — the most common range for everyday toast across most bread types.

Level 4 gives a medium-dark result — good for sourdough, wholemeal, and crumpets where a proper colour on the surface improves the texture.

Levels 5–6 push to a properly dark crust — well-done toast with a firm bite and deeper flavour. Some people specifically prefer this range, particularly for granary and seeded loaves.

The Removable Crumb Tray

A single tray runs the full length underneath all four slots. Every crumb from every slice falls into that tray during toasting rather than building up inside the base. When it fills, you slide it out, tip it into the bin, and slide it back in. Cleaning takes about ten seconds and doesn't involve shaking the toaster or wiping inside the slots with a cloth.

White or Black — Same Toaster, Different Housing

White suits kitchens with lighter worktops — pale stone, cream tiles, or any setup where a dark appliance would feel out of place. The wider rectangular housing of a 4-slice toaster is a larger visual presence than a 2-slice, so the white version tends to blend into lighter surfaces more easily.

Black suits modern kitchens with darker worktops, stainless steel or black appliance setups, and any kitchen where a white toaster would look too clinical. The matt black housing has a quieter look that doesn't demand attention on the worktop.

Cleaning and Daily Use

Slide the crumb tray out after each use or every few days depending on how often the toaster runs. Wipe the exterior with a dry cloth when cold.
